Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Starting Problem, delta 88, weather changes

Question
I have a 1991 Olds delta 88.  The problem is that first thing in the morning it will not start.  It coughs and sputters like its not getting fuel but it smells like it is flooded.  Once it starts it will run fine no problems and it will start everytime after that.

Answer
hi steve, well sounds like it could be a couple of things.first possible fuel pump.to find out try this when it wont start in the morn turn the key on and off 5 times and leave it on for 3 secs at a time if car starts right up weak pump.if not then prob has a bad temp sensor.for fuel injection this sensor normally fails during weather changes.it has several jobs to do and the one effecting your car is telling the ecm that the temp is colder and it needs to mix more fuel to start the car..good luck please rate my help ty billymac
