Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 99 Olds Bravada - Interior Heat Sensor, luck frank, olds bravada

Question
It is a 4 cycl. engine.  I can not get heat to come into the interior of the SUV unless I turn the indicator to 82 degrees or more.  Then I get baked out of the car.

Could it be the interior sensor above the drivers door?  If so, can it just be cleaned?  Or does it need to be replaced?

What might I expect for cost of part and labor?

Thanks.

Frank

Answer
HI FRANK,YES IT COULD BE THE INTERIOR SENSOR,AND POSSIBLY CLEANING MAY HELP CERTAINLY WORTH A TRY.BUT IF NOT PROB AROUND 40.00 FOR THE SENSOR LABOR I REALLY DON,T KNOW BUT AN HOUR WOULD BE A GOOD GUESS.DEPENDING ON HOW ACCESSABLE IT IS.GOOD LUCK FRANK BILLYMAC
