i also wold like to know if there is a way to reset the warning lites on the dash(ie..security,abs...)if so how can it be done without going to the buick dealership?

Answer
hi troy.yes two things either cranksensor or fuel pump normally it has been cranksensor.here is a way to try and determine which it is.when it won,t start cycle the key 4 times leave it on for 5 seconds each time if car starts then fuel pump is bad if not most likely crank sensor..#2as for warning lights if the car starts ok the security should go off .when a car don,t start or all systems don,t work the security system thinks it is being stolen.so the light will come on anytime the car has a prob.other senario is the security system is malfuntioning.now the abs light a little more complicated prob a wheel sensor is badyou have a 25% chance of guessing which .or you can change one and try it on all 4 wheels until you get the bad one .each time you try a repair remove the neg batt cable for 5 mins the light will be off if prob is gone it will stay off if not it will come back on.good luck .please take a min of your time to rate my help it keeps the rateings up and this service free ty billymac
