Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: ENGINE STOPS RUNNING, olds cutlass supreme, olds cutlass

Question
Hello Billy
Thank you do I have to take off this "plantum" to check the vacuum lines? (Are their gaskets?, does it just unbolt and go back on ?)

Is this what you mean by "hidden under the manifold" or is there another place to look?

I hope this does it

Question -
I HAVE A 1991 OLDS CUTLASS SUPREME 3.1 FUEL INJECTED WITH ONLY 40,000 MILES.
IT JUST STARTED YESTERDAY THAT THE ENGINE DIES USUALLY AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. THE CAR RESTARTS IMMEDIATLY EVERY TIME.
THE ONLY OTHER THING IS A LITTLE ROUGHNESS AT CURB IDLE.
COULD IT BE A VACUUME LEAK OR SOMETHING?
I CANT SEE THE TOP OF THE ENGINE (GUESS IT'S AN ALUMINUM AIR MANIFOLD ON TOP) BUT I THINK I HEAR A VACUUME LEAK BUT WHEN IT GOES QUIET (STOPS HISSING) IS WHEN THE ENGINE RUNS ROUGH.
THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS COMMING ON AND IT DOES NOT HAPPEN THAT MUCH (ABOUT 5 TIMES IN 2 DAYS).
THANKS Danny

Answer -
hi danny.yes there prob is a vac leak, under the plantum there is several vac connections.some are visible in one big bulk some are hidden under the manifold.there is a map sensor close to rhe firewall on the back side of the manafold a black thing with a 3 wire plug and a map sensor check and be sure that hose is tight .if you listen very close you will hear where the leak is.if there is no leak you need a iac mtr.idle air control.please take a sec of your time to rate me .ty billymac

Answer
hi danny yes there is gaskets  under the plantum, but they are actually reusable unless one is broken and this could cause a vac leak .i would reccomend changeing the gaskets under the plentum and while you are there replace any broken or bad vac hoses. please remember to rate me if you notice i am the top twenty if no one votes i can,t stay there ty billymac
