Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Dodge neon 98, dodge neon, intrenet

Hi bill,
  I was on the highway driving at lets say 65 mph and all of a sudden the car wouldn't go any faster. I had the peddle to the floor and nothing; the car just was slowing down, slowly.  this is the first time it happened to me.  IT doesn't start at all, it turns over but nothing else, no voom.  what could it be?  Timming belt, fuel injector, crank.
