Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1997 Dodge Neon, dodge neon, tranny fluid

Question
This little car runs great!  However, it sat for about 3 months.  It started right up but when you drive it, it will shift from 1st to 2nd but will not shift out of second to third.  We checked the tranny fluid and it was ok.  We had the tranny checked also and it is fine.  Might you have any suggestions?

HI DIAN.HMMM WELL IF IT WON,T SHIFT FROM 2-3 ..LOL BUT THERE IS A CPL THINGS THAT WILL CAUSE THIS.#1 THERE IS A PUTER FOR THIS TRANS.COULD BE BAD.#2THERE IS SENSORS MNTED EXTERNALLY ,WHICH COULD ALSO CAUSE THIS..BE SURE ALL PLUGS ARE PLUGGED IN NEAR THE PUTER.GOOD LUCK PLEASE TAKE A MIN TO VOTE MY HELP.HARDLY ANYONE DOES.BUT I WOULD GREATLY APPRICIATE IT.TY BILLYMAC
