Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: olds delta 88, coat hanger, olds delta 88

I locked my keys in the car and tried to jimmy it open with a coat hanger, and I think I knocked a door handle rod off track.  The door will open from the inside but when I try to push the button from the outside it won't open.  I have tried to take the inside door pannle off but it has proved difficult.  I have managed to get the seatbelt attachment, bottom part of the door, and the middle console that holds the electric window controls off; but the upper part with the door lock and handle has been tricky.  Do you have any ideas on how to get it off so as to reach the inside of the door where I can reach the rod?  Also when I role down the window it drags on something and the door opens.  Is that the rod it is dragging on?

hi jon.. well yes kinda tricky.if you have the bottom off .and the console.the rest is easy..the door snaps on just take a screwdriver pop out the snap pins pull panel up.make sure the window is up.hook the rod hanging back up to the outside handle..good luck.please take a sec to rate my help ty billymac
