Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 90 buick lesabre, coolant temp, head gaskets


Question
i recently overheated my 90 buick lesabre custom 3.8l generation 1.  since then it is idling rough and sometimes stalls as i shift into drive from park.  ive changed the plugs and the wires and sprayed a half can of throttle body cleaner into the throttle body.  i aslo cleaned the iac valve.  any suggestions?

hi john.well if you got this prob after you overheated the eng.could be a cpl things.first of all coolant temp sensor.they take a beating with eng overheat.and do control a lot of things like idle .change this first.if this don,t fix the prob john.i could sugar coat it. but i won,t.you will need major repairs head gaskets and possibly heads.these are the facts john.good luck and please take a sec to rate my service ty billymac
