Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: wont stay on, buick regal, grandsport

GOOD MORNING AND THANK YOU BUT MAYBE I WAS MISUNDERSTOOD, BUT VEHICLE STARTS AS STATED AND IT STAYS RUNNING UNTIL IT GETS HOT WHICH TAKES ABOUT 5 OR SO MINUTES, THEN DIES. IT ALWAYS RESTARTS BUT DOESNT STAY ON. WE HAVE CHECKED THE FUEL PUMP BUT ITS OK, CAN IT BE ONE OF THE SENSORS?

i have a 1991 buick regal grandsport 4 dr, few days ago i pulled out my drive way and was driving along and wheel started to tighten up so i knew it was dying or something so i gave it gas and it continued for a bit then stopped. it restarted but wouldnt stay on. i attemtped few more times but nothing, i returned for vehicle about 1/2 hour or so later , it started and was able to turn around and get it home but pulling into driveway it died. i had used the vehicle earlier that day and it was fine. car had gas and all gages were normal so can you tell me what caused this and how i can fix it without being charged arm and maybe leg at shop.. my husband keeps it maintained and all to date. car has not been acting up so got me by surprise.. can you help please.. thank you.... please note vehicle starts but wont stay running

hi lori .well first thing to do is turn key on do not start just turn on listen for fuel pump running under car.or have a helper take gas cap off put ear right where cap goes.and turn key on and then off while key is on you should hear electric pump running for three seconds.if not while one person cranks eng have assistant beat on bottom of gas tank if car starts fuel pump is out .i can tell you more but try this first .lori please take a minute to rate my help very important   ty  billymac

hi lori.hmmmm well if you are sure it is not the fuel pump.yes it could be a sensor now which one well probably crank sensor or cam sensor or most common module .but you have to know what it is missing when it don,t start it will be fuel fire or compression.i am sure your husband can determine which one is missing.and then we can make a better diagnosis.ty good luck billy mac .
