Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: fule pump, eng size, frind

I RAN THIS CAR OUT OF GAS AND IT RAN PERFECT BEFOR THAT. A FRIND SAID THAT IT MAY HAVE BURNT OUT THE GAS PUMP AND IS THIS CARS GAS PUMP IN THE GAS TANK?            THANKS FOR YOUR TIME RANDY

hey randy.well i will take a stab in the dark here.but you did not specify exactly what kind of car you have.if it is a late 80,s and up and is not an importand is fuel injected then yes randy it is in the tank .but if you are not sure email the year make model and eng size and i will answer with more accuracy.it may or may not be a pro with pump have to have more info..billymac
