Headlights only work when car is in gear.
The headlight switch and the running light switch is in the door and they are seperate push button switches with an 'On' indicator light for each.
Push the switch and the on indicator light goes on, but the actual lights stay off but the flashers work! The turn signals work with the ignition switch on. Still no headlights.
Start the engine, no headlights. Put the transmission in gear and the headlights come on if the manual switch is on. I don't have a schematic on the vehicle

Answer
