Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: car troubles, spark plug wire, buick lesabre

i got a 92 buick lesabre and it just quite workin for me...i was driving down the road and it all of a sudden shutdown so i figured it was an electrical prob.went out and bought a new coil thinkin that was it and still i got nothin the car trys to turn over but i get no spark i pulled the spark plug wire and stuck a screw driver in there and im gettin no spark and im lost on ideas if u got any suggestions it would really help.thnx

There are dozens of things that might cause that.
The cheapest and first thing to check is the ign fuse.
After that, check for loose connections in the wires.
Things get more expensive after that if you don't have some test equipment, and parts guessing gets real expensive.
If you have an ohm meter, I would suggest getting hold of a service manual, and following the troubleshooting chart.
You can read them in the refference section of the public library, and even make copies.
Check that fuse, though, and you might even check for power at the coil pack.
