Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: my car, fuse box, alternater

Question
I have a 89 Buick Reveria.  I am having to get jumped off to get it to start. After it is jumped off and runs for awhile it will start up with no problem and runs fine. My battery is less than a year old. It just started acting like this. Someone said I might need an alternater. What do you think?

It sounds like the alt to me. I also belive theire might be a fuse in the fuse box alt check that first . Some years did have them not all. Also you can start the car up and take off the pos. cable and if the car dies then it is the alt . Good luck to u hun and u have a pretty name pete
