Question
1995 chevrolet 3.1, auto, a/c. Serrvice engine soon light comes on randomly. Have replaced spark plugs and wires, EGR valve, oxygen sensor and air intake sensor. Each time I reset ECM by removing and reinstalling fuses. Light stays off for several trips around town, then about the time you think it's fixed; it comes on.Havew had it checked by shop using scanner but that's ho help. Any ideas? Thanks; Bill

Answer
If it is coming on because of a stored code, they should be able to read it.
If you go to the library, and look in the refference section, they have all the manuals, and you can look up how to recover fault codes, and what to look for.
Usually you jump from A to B in the connector between the drivers knees, and count the flashes.
An occasional vacuum leak may be your problem, but knowing the code would help.
