QuestionMY 95 2.3L OLDS ACHEIVA. IT'S BLACK SMOKE COMING
OUT THE TAILPIPE, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE COOLING FAN TURNS ON ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
THE CAR RUNS POORLY AND THE TAILPIPE IS COVERED WITH BLACK ASH LOOKING STUFF. WHAT COULD BE WRONG,
IS IT SERIOUS OR JUST MINOR. PLEASE HELP
P.S WHEN I SAY THE CAR RUNS POORLY I MEAN WHILE I'M DRIVING WITH MY FOOT ON THE GAS IT SLOWS DOWN
FOR MAYBE 3 SECONDS AND GOES BACK TO NORMAL, IT DOES IT WARM OR COLD.
I GOT THE CAR MAYBE 9 MONTHS AGO AND NEVER HAD A
TUNE UP, TWO MONTHS AGO I HAD A NEW FUEL PUMP PUT
IN AND THE CAR RAN GREAT FOR A MONTH OR SO NOW IT'S RUNNING POORLY.

this is a bad catlaic converter bring it to a excaust and let let the excaust pelople check it . It sounds like it is pluged . and this will cause power loss and black smoke out the tail pipe .and cause this system you are haveing good luck to you hun and you have a pretty name pete
