Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Car Shuts Off, olds cutlass, remote starter

I have a 1994 Olds Cutlass with a 3.1 L. engine this problem just started recently , the car will just shut off , when it dose you have no power in the electrical system nothing works at all it is just like you take the battery out. It has a new battery in it. It does have a remote starter in it that was installed as an aftermarket item (we bought the car used and it was already in it). i think it is called my valet or something like that. Could this be the problem ?

I am not familiar with the remote starter system.
The valet system I know about allows a parking attendant to drive the car, but he can't open the trunk, or glove compartment.
As for your question, I believe that system could be your problem, but a loose wire connection could be also.
