Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: blowby ,carbon build up, dip stick, dipstick

i have a 83 olds cutless v6 engine.i have oil blowing back from the dip stick,but don't have to add oil in between oil changes. i had a new pcv put in. what else? every once in a while i have to blow black smoke out of the tailpipe ,then it is fine. i cleaned the choke and carb. i have had very few problems since i bought it 9ys ago. i really like this car. thank you!

This could be a bad cattlaic converter it will blow black smoke and also oush the oil threw the dipstick because the oil gets very hot .  this sure does sound lie the converter to me . a exsaust shop can check this for you and it is free to do the check. good luck to you hun and you have a very pretty name
