Pontiac Repair: Daylight headlamps are blinking, sunfire gtx, pontiac sunfire

I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire GTX 2.4 engine.  My headlights have been dimming periodically while driving at night, now the daylight headlights indicator on the dash are blinking off and on. I'm not sure where my ground wire is if in case this is the problem.

Hi Sue:
very common issue on these cars. the forward lamp harness is bad. there are multiple splices in the harness and over time the elemnets creep into the harness and the splices corrode and then the dires break or there is high resistance in the harness. For what it takes to open the harness up and fix all the bad splices iyou better off to just goto the dealer and get a new harness for the headlamps. it's called a forard lamp harness and have that replaced. getting a used one from the junk yard is not an option because the same thing may have already happend aor will happen very soon. good luck :-)
