Answer
hey chuck:

so you have no fule pressure but you have key on volatge for a second but no pump prime?? check your power and ground at the sending unit with halogen light bulb The light should light BRIGHT. if it's dim or not at all check the power feed (grey) to a body ground at try again. If it lights bright then you have a bad ground back at the pump. do the power windows work on this car? they share the same ground splice pack if the windows don't work either you have a ground issue the splice for that id under the carpet retainer by the l/f door sill on that car. if you have a good ground but not a power then check the fuel pump relay. swap it with another one in that box the# is stamped on the top of the relay just swap it with another one with the same part # and try that. If you have a good power and ground and the light lights bright then I would suspect either a bad new pump or the incorrect one for the car or a wiring issue in the sending unit it's self high resistance or an open ckt to the pump. good luck :-)
