How do i remove the steering rack? I am trying to replace the tranny on the ground and i am being stopped by the steering rack.

the steering gear is bolted to the engine sub frame. ther are only 2 bolts that hold the rack to the fram and 2 lines. Also there is a pich bolt in the steering shaft It's in that big rubbet boot that goes from the fire wall down to the rack. The bolt is high up in the boot. It's a majot pain to get to. You can inbolt the steering shaft at the base of the steering gear and let the whole shaft slide out of the car with the rack and then un bolt it.
