Pontiac Repair: remote control, pontiac grand prix, battery holder

my remote for my 2004 pontiac grand prix..the piece that holds the battery in came off. can i fix this or do i have to get a new remote? can it be soldered or glued?

Hi Sandy:

If your handy Yes you can fix it by soldering the battery holder on to the ckt. board. make sure both spots are soldered onto the ckt. board. I have fixed them in the past for people I know. for the customers I just sell them new ones. Good luck :-)
