Pontiac Repair: 1993 grand am, noid light, engine computer

I changed fuel filter engine turns over sprayed starting fluid in air intake run as long as i spray what wrong please help

what engine is in this car? do you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key to run? depending on the engine it m,ay or may not have a fuel pressure tap you need some where between 35-40 PSI of fuelk pressure for the engine to run. if you indeed have pressure next thing to check is injector pulse. you can get a "noid" light injector tester and unplug the injectors one at a time and crank the car the light should blink and the car is cranked meaning the engine computer is turning the injetors on and off. That is where I would start looking. good luck :-)
