Pontiac Repair: 92 pontiac will not turn over, pontiac firebird, dash lights

Hey my 1992 pontiac firebird will not turn over ive checked the battery, starter, wirring conections. and i cant find the problem. all of my dash lights come on and head lights but when i turn the key it wont turn over. also the security light does not come on at all and ive checked the bulb it good. what could be the problem??

sounds like it 1 of 2 things either a bad starter motor or the factory secuity pass key system is at fault. chance are it's the pass-key system ther are a set of wires in the steering column that are attached to the lock cylinder after time the wires flex and frey and break rom turning the key on and off and then the connection between the key chip reader and the pass key module becomes open and it renders the car unable to crank. good luck :-)
