I have a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire GT 5 speed, it wants to start but dose not connect the flue pump is working no codes are showing up could not get the boots off to check spark plugs.

Hi there:

When your trying to start this just leave the key in the run position. if the security lamp on the dash is flashing that is why the car will not start. if so turn off all the power accys like HVAC blower and radio and leave the key in the run position for 10 minutes the lamp will either shut off or stop flashing when that happens tune the key off wait 1 minute then try to start it and see what happens. a flashing lamp indicates an issue with the pass-key security system from the factory. that is a place to start looking. good luck :-)
