Pontiac Repair: 04 Grand Am Windshield Washer Problem, windshield washer pump, fuse block

Question
The car wouldn't start one day so I started checking the fuses, as soon as I pulled the power mirror fuse the "key in the ignition" alarm started, then the car started. As soon as I pulled that fuse again it wouldn't start again until I removed that fuse, so I left it out. Problem is the windshield washer pump doesn't work now either and it's definitely needed here in Michigan at this time of the year. Is the washer fuse the same as the mirror fuse? If so, any clue as to what the problem may be?

Answer
Hey Stan:

the wipers/washer and the mirriors have nothing in common other then the fact that they are in the same fuse block. the left side of the dash one. does this car have a sun roof? if so good chance you have some corrosion in the fuse box due to water leaking from the fun roof. If not then possibly a bad connecting in the box it's self. the 2 have nothing in common. if the wipers work the fuse is good the squirt pump and the wiper motor use the same fuse. chances are it's just a squirt pump that is bad and nothing else with the squires as for the other things not much in common. good luck :)
