Pontiac Repair: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix stalls, throttle position sensor, fuel pressure regulator

Question
Hi, I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. It starts up fine when it's cold, but once it's warmed up, if car is idling it will cut out and die. Also, when slowing at a stop sign or turning a corner it cuts out and dies too. Seems to run fairly well when driving but the slowing down and stopping is when the issue occurs. Have tried replacing the throttle position sensor and crank sensor. Have had the scope on the car and no codes came up for this issue. What could be causing the problem?  Could it be the fuel pressure regulator or where else should we look?
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Carol:

a few things to lok at a Tap test of the engine control module get the car hot and thyen tap on the engine control module with the handle of a screw driver and see if it stalls out. If so you found the issue. when you cnahge it clean the throttle body and throttle plate with air inatke cleaner and do a "google search" for idle control learn. ther is a proceedure you need to do to learn the idle speed on that engine. If you don't you will have a very erratic idle. Another thing to look at is the injectors. take the top of the intake manifold off and check the resistance of each injetor with a digital ohm meter to see if youi have 1 or more with resitance is too low. good luck :)
