Question
HELLO ITS JOSH AGAIN. 98 FIREBIRD. GOT A BETTER BOOK INSTEAD OF THE HAYNES ... RAN A NOID LIGHT TEST ON THE INJECTOR CONNECTION THE NOID LIGHT DIDNT BLINK  BUT WHEN I STICK A TEST LIGHT IN THERE THE POSITIVE  THE LIGHT COMES ON.. I READ IN THE BOOK THAT WHEN CHANGING  THE CRANKSHAFT POSTION SENSOR U HAVE TO LEARN THE COMPUTER... DOES THIS MEAN IT HAS TO BE FLASHED TO READ THE NEW CRANCK SHAFT SENSOR ?

I ALSO CHANGED OUT THE IGNITION MODULE ....

Answer
No the crank sensor is plug and play no programming neede for it to start and run. It will need to be learned once it's runnin and that has to be doen with a Scan tool. If you have NO spark and no injetor pulse you either have a bad crank sensor/ignition module or a wiring issue between the sensor and ignition module. I would also make sure the ground for the ignition module are clean and tight and make sure you have good power going to the ignition module. Use a test lamp or even batter a head lamp bulb and make sure the lamp or bulb lights BRIGHT across the power and grounds to the module. Do not stick a test light probe into the terminals of the connector you will spread the terminals open and cause more issues.
Good luck :-}
