Pontiac Repair: 2001 grand am wont start, water intrusion, fuel rail

my 01 grand am gt with the v6 has spark can hear fuel pump but comes outta the fuel rail.  clogged fuel fliter? bad pump?

when you try to start it and leave the key in the run position does the security lamp come on and or flash? if so there is an issue with the factory theft system. VERY common on this car. if that is the case 90% of the time it's the ignition lock housing 10% it's a bad connection at the BCM due to water intrusion. if it's not a security issue you need to physicall check the fuel pressure with a gauge. it should have arounf 45 PSI if not it could be a restricted filter bad pump or a pressure regulator that blows off too soon. good luck :-}
