My vibe sounds like there is a chain dragging all of a sudden, my daughter said it did it before, but I never heard it, what can it be and is it safe to drive until it's fixed

it may be a brake sensor making noise? if the front pads are low the sensors touch the rotors and make a stange noise.. That could be what it is. If that's it's safe but the brakes need to be checked sooner rather then later. BUT without hearing it I can't tell you what it is. So for piece of mind I would get it cheked out. good luck :-}
