where are the lower motor mounts on a 1986 pontiac 6000 le and are they hard to change

Hi Howard:
there is just 1 lower engine mount on that engine If it's a V6 and I belive the 4 cylinder as well. the engine needs to be jacked yo and supported in order to change that mount. It's a big job and you need to do it safely. the tranmission has 2 lower mounts and the same thing the trnamission needs to be jacked up and supported in order to change them. Good luck :0
