Pontiac Repair: Code P0430 on 2006 Pontiac G6 4 cyl,, 2006 pontiac g6, pontiac g6

Hi there,
My engine light was on so I hooked up sensor check and up came P0430,,the car is working fine and there is no issues whatsoever,
but the oil was recently changed and had an engine flush along with it,,and mechanic told me the engine light might come on,,it took 2 days ,,but it did,,I cleared it and it hasn't come back on,,should I worry about it??

Hey rick:

a p0430 is a catalitic converter code. usually that code will cme back on it doesn't self heal. depending on the sate you live in the converter should be covered by 7/70 or 8/80 emission warranty. Wait for the lmap to come back on before you take it into get fixed. they will not just replace it because you said that the lamp was on with that code.
