Answer
Hey there Randall:

There is no easy way to get it closed there can be many reasons why it will not close the tracks may be jammed up. The module for the motor may be bad or the motor bad. there are electronic switches that tell the motor when to stop and one of those soft stop switches may be bad and the module thinks the glass is actually closed when in fact it's stuck open. so there is one clear cut answer to this. what can be done is the head liner has to be dropped down and depending the them make of the sunroof the motor can be removed from the track assembly and a screw drive can be used to manually wind the roof closed. those roofs were made my differnt companies and the design is different from year to year so that may not work on your year. the other thing is if indeed the tracks are binding it's not going to close by trying to manually close it either. It's not a good situation soory to say and no easy fix. it needs to be looked at and see exactly what broke and go from there. This is the reason I never buy a car with a sunroof. Good luck :)
