Pontiac Repair: 2002 grand am, lock cylinder, fan motor

My wife's car starts fine and runs fine but the dash cluster, fan motor, and radio do not come on for a few seconds after the car is running. Some times they might not come on for about 30 seconds. I thought it might be a loose connection to the cluster. So I dug in to check wires and conection plug. Everything was ok. Tight conection and no worn wires. I am at a loss. I am just a parts replacer so I need the help of a real mechanic.

This is a pretty common issue with car and it can be caused by few things. A weak battery or bad connection at the battery. A bad ground connection at the body for the battery or the most common issue is a bad ignition switch. The electrical part not the lock cylinder.  Good luck:-}
