Pontiac Repair: 2002 grand prix se, manifold gaskets, maintanence

hey sorry i sent the wrong e mail about an hour ago ...
been told that my 2002 se 125k , never had any problems and have done regular maintanence as required.... its my BABY!!!!
why would i here this ....
my intake manifold gaskets are leaking and drpping , apparantly eaten away .....
all hoses are oil soaked and need to be replaced...
and my coolant reservoir has no coolant in it but has a thick blackish sludge on the bottom ...
Have you heard of this with the GPrix and do you have any thoughts .... also been told it could be the head at $1500 plus ..Help of any kind would be appreciated ...T

Well intake gaskets are common on these engines. As for the hoses I have see over time they get soft and what looklsike the oil from the rubber seeping out from the hoses. ther really isn't anything mechanically wrong with it it is just what happens over time. As for the sludge there was a recall on that engine years ago and an anti-leak was deed to the cooling system and that could be what you see with out seeing it It's hard to say for sure. Good luck :)

P.S. have the ijtake gaskets relaced with only GM Original equipment the new design gaskets are far better then the original ones put on at the factory.
