Question
QUESTION: I own a 2000 bonne. The problem I have been having is sometimes It won't start right away. When driving it will "get jerky" like if you were running outta gas. it does not quit while driving and I have noticed the RPM seems as if it "sticks" at 1/12 RPM when it is being "jerky" then shoots up to 2 1/2 rpm and runs fine.
I have already replaced the starter, Ignition, fuel pump.

ANSWER: Hi there:

does it spit sputter and cough then Die? Or does it just feel "jerky" does it do it more so when it's cold and damp or raining out? Any service engine soon lamp on or flashing when it happens?

QUESTION: feels "jerky" the engine light flashes about 4 or 5 times then either goes off or just stays on. I have had the problem when it is damp or rainy-moisture' builds up on the fuel connectors and burns them out, but, this time that is not the problem-when it is "jerky: it feels like it is going to die but doesn't (loses power)and then it runs fine. someone thought it might have something to go with the transmission?

Answer
The flashing light is a dead give a way. it's a engine misfire confition and the fact it does it when it's amp would indicate a bad speark plug wire set. make sure the wires are not burned or corroded on the tops of the igniton coils or on the spark plugs if they are replace the plugs and any coil that shows cosstion on the toip of the towers where the wires attach. good luck :)
