Pontiac Repair: starving for fuel, chevron techron fuel system cleaner, chevron techron fuel system

hey my 2000 pontiac grand am gt is hesitaing and surging during acceliration and passing and when at idle speed ive bought an alternater and fuel filter. havent installed them yet knowing i may have to install more parts

well unless the leaternator was not chagring that will not fix a hesitation issue. A fuel fileter may very well fix this if it's restricted and usually they are because no one ever replaces them untill they are completly plugged and they burn out a fuel pump. another issue on this car could be a dirty MAF sesnor there is a product called simply enough "mass air flow sensor cleaner" try that as well. other then that there is not much a do it your selfer can due you need a true engine scan tool to read engine data and see what is going on with the engine fuel delivery to see what indeed is going on. one last thing you may want to try a bottle of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner. follow the directions on the bottle.
