Pontiac Repair: 2004 sunfire temp gauge, gm dealership, exchange unit

the temp gauge is stuck under the tech needle and wont go back the gauges are always acting up would it be best to just get a new gauge cluster or could it be something else

simple answer it needs a new dash cluster assembly. that was a common issue with that vinatge sunfire. try a junk yard for one or order an exchange unit through your local GM dealership. You doo need the part # off the back of the unit to order a new one. and make sure a junk yard one is the same part # you have in there now. good luck :)
