Pontiac Repair: spark plug broken off, toyota camry 1997, hex nut

Question
QUESTION: I have a spark plug that the top half broke off and now I
cannot extract the plug.  What can I do ?  thanks

ANSWER: Hi lance:
Model of car and engine? is the hex "nut" part of the plug still there and just the top ceramic piece broke off? If that is the case and the hex is still there you can use just a 5/" 6 point socket to remove the plug. If the hux is rounded off that makes it more challenging whet you would need to use a bolt/nut extractor. with out knowing what you have going on It's hard to give you a way to fix the issue.

QUESTION: Thanks, Toyota camry 1997 4 cylinder, and yes the hex nut part is gone.

Answer
OH, Bummer, There is not going to be any way to get the plug out if the hex nut is gone ther is no way to ge in ther and grab onto to the broken part due to the way it sits down into the head. looks like the cylinder head may need to come off and be sent out to a machine shop. sorry for the bad news.
