i been having to put water in my radiator lately.the car hasnt been overheating and i havent seen any water leaking,but the other day it starting running rough,and acting like it wanted to shut off as i was driving,then i saw water leaking from the water pump

Hi Paul:

there are 2 things that could be leaking The water pump is one thing. The thing is the bypass elbow that goes between the intake manifold and the tensioner for the serpantine belt. that's about it on the front of the engine. As far as it running rough not likely that they are related. That can be a lot of things a crank shaft position sensor or a Mass Air flow sensor. If the car stored any codes in the engine computer that would be of some help. a lot of the big box auto parts stores will scan for codes for free see what if anything is stored. Good luck :)
