Pontiac Repair: pontiac grand prix gtp dash lights, grand prix gtp, pontiac grand prix gtp

Question
Hello, i am looking at a 2004 grand prix gtp. it has everything i want but something worries me about it. the dash lights are on, and what i mean by that is the abs light is on, the traction control is on, and when you start up the car it brings up on the screen (it also shows the miles, that screen) check traction control, check abs system, and a couple other things. also it has 127,XXX miles on it. if they are both original tranny and motor is there anything that i should be aware of going out soon. im guessing the previous owner shifted it through the 1,2,3,D on the gear shift like it was a manual, its not tap shift so i know that might have an effect on how hard it was shifted in the past. thanks for the answer, and any other information you may give about the other topics in here :)

Answer
Hi Tanner:

I think I would stter clear of it. once you get over that magic 100,000 no car is considered a good reliable car. look for one with less milage. That model of car was noted for anti lock brake wire harness issues to the front speed sensors or wheel speed sensors going bad in the wheel bearings. The ABS/trac lights are related. good luck :)
