Pontiac Repair: headlight, head lamps, pontiac grand am

Question
How do I replace the headlight in a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM.  I do not have the owners manual and the bulb is burnt.

Hi Pat.
open the hood. there is a fillet pannel that covers the top of the head lamps pull out the pust pint retainers out of the filler planel. and it will reveal the lamps ther are 2 metal retainers that hold the lamp in place pull the retainers upwards untill they stop moving they will move upanout an in or so then pull the head lamp straight out toward the front of the car. The bulbs are held in with a black plastic ring. turn the tun about 1/4 tun and then pull it back away from the bulb be careful the tabs break off the retainers. then pull the bulb out and take the connector off the bulb. Just revers the procedure to install the bulb and the lamp. good luck :)
