Pontiac Repair: 95 Pontiac Firebird - Cutting out on low acceleration, strange noise, chevron techron fuel system, chevron techron fuel system cleaner

Question
Whenever I get up to about 40-45mph and barely push in the gas pedal the car will start to feel like it's cutting out and start to shake.

It will go away when I push in the gas all the way to rev up the engine but right before it revs up it will make a strange creaking/cranking noise coming from what sounds like under the engine itself...I can't really tell though.

The car will also vibrate slightly when it makes this noise.

Engine Size/Type: 3.4 Liter SFI V6 Engine

Answer
Hi there:

sounds like the engine is misfiring at that perticular engine load and speed. I would look at the spark plug wires at the coils on that engine the plug wires would corrode and then burn on the tops of the coils look there first. Also try a couple of bottle of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner The injectors on that engine were prone to clogging and that cleaner works well . Good luck :)
