Pontiac Repair: Replacing Blower Motor resistor 2000 pontiac montana, blower motor resistor, pontiac montana

Question
I've got the part, and I was able to easily disconnect the
power cable running TO the part, but I am having a devil of
a time getting the cable from the resistor TO the motor off,
and as I can't fit my head in to see what's going on, I'm
trying to do this all by feel.  Can you give me any tips on
how to remove this cable?

Answer
Hi Mike:

the harness from the resistor to the motor has a tab that you have to depress in order for the connector to pull out of the motor. A small bent hook or a cotter key remover will work well to depress the tab. It is possable that the connector melted in to the motor from heat and that is why you can't get it off?? It's rare but I have seen it happen. the other option is this take the motor out of the heater box that way you can see what your doing. there are only 3 screws holding it into the heater box.
Good luck :)
