Pontiac Repair: 1994 Pontiac Forebird?, pontiac firebird, nickle and dime

Question

1994 Firebird we are looking into buying a cheaper 1994 V6 Pontiac Firebird? It has a few mechanical issues with most cars you get for cheap, I just wanted an expert to give me good advise. The guy is saying the key is stuck in the ignition and there is a clicking noise when something turns and he said it is the lifter spring? Are these a big deal should I be concerned my mechanic said they are a easy fix and he won't charge me much is it worth it?

well this car is 17 years old now so I'm sure it has issues! your issue you have here are vauge in the discritpion so I can't really help you out with them but I would suggest you have the car acatully looked at before you buy it. Being that old it could be one of those cars that will nickle and dime you to death. Also to be honest with you that V6 in that year car was not all that reliable and not to powerful.
