Hi, would a 1998 pontiac grand am 2.4 Litre engine fit int a 2000 pontiac sunfire 2.4 Litre?

Well I'm Not a parts guy I just fix 'em. Physically it should fit you would have to swap out the plumbing on the engine for the heater hoses and water pipes along with the exhaust and intake manifolds from the sunfire to the grand am engine. What I'm not sure of if if the engine you have in the su nfire has an EGR valve in on it oe not and same with the grand am engine that makse a huge difference and if one has it and the other does not they will not inter change. You need to check witha reputable used parts supplier to see if it will wrok or not. Do a google search for " Wilberts GM/Buck parts" they are in Webster NY and contact them they are good people to deal with and thye can tell you waht will work and what will not. We deal with them all the time. Good luck :)
