Pontiac Repair: speedometer, speedometer cable, speedo cable

where is the speedometer cable located under the hood of a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire?

there is no speedo cable in this car. it's electronically driven but a sensor in the transmission. does the odometer work? but the speedo not work? does the trnamission shif correctly? is it a 3 speed or 4 speed auto matice trnamission in this car? If the odometer works and the speedo not the issue is in the speedo cluster. If neither works it could be a bad sensor or wiring to the sensor in the transmission or the buffer (engine computer) could be bad. Good luck :)
