Pontiac Repair: getting to turn signal switch on a 1992 grand prix se with radio controls on steering wheel., screw driver, signal switch

I have a 1992 grand prix se, that has a faulty turn signal switch. i have the part, but the steering wheel has radio controls blocking me from taking off the wheel and acccesing the turn signal switch. so i need help trying to take the steering wheel off to access the turn signal

Wow this is a blast from the past I haven't seen one of those in a LONG time. Let me think...... I belive the button assembly is just a snap in assembly I do not think there are any screws that hold it in from the back of the wheel. I would try a small long skinny screw driver and "pop" the switch assembly out of the wheel If it doesn't come out easy do not fore it check the back of the steering wheel for some screws if it has any it will be one on either side of the button assembly But if memory serves me this one doesn't have any at all . once you get the buttons off it's a pretty straight forward repair you will need a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off the steering shaft though.
