Good morning. how do i change the headlight bulbs on my 1997 pontiac grand am se?  thank you.

Hi Craig:

you have to remove the complete lamp assembly first and the bulbs come out the rear of th assembly. I believe on that car ther are just 2 10 MM head bolts that hold them to the header panel then you just have to pull the lamp out on an angle I think that may be a retainer clip on the otter edge by the fender that needs to be gently cleared before you can pull them out the rest of the way. Put exactly the same part # bulb back in that you took out example if the trade # is a 9006LL do not put in a 9006 bulb use the same part#. good luck
