Pontiac Repair: 2001 Gr Am, air conditioner compressor, pressure switches

I have a 2001 Grand Am, Quad 4. Can't get the air conditioner compressor to come on. Checked all fuses, Diode, & is fully charged. Everything good but no juice to compressor. I have run a jumper from batt. to compressor & made it work. Any ideas? Pressure switches maybe?

Hi Tony:

A pressure switch,compressore relay,hvac control head or an engine computer take yout pick. what you need is a scan tool to see what the a/c compressor control data is in the engine computer in order for the compressor to run it needs a few things. a/c on request from the control head and a good pressure reeading from the pressure switch on the hi side line in order for the engine computer to tirn on the a/c compressor. with out a scan tool it's impossible to tell you what is going on and it's just purely a guess as to what the issue could be. good luck :)
