Pontiac Repair: montana door unlock issue, rear quarter windows, door switches

Question
I have the same problem with my locks . It locks with the door switches,but not unlock. The key fob will lock and unlock all the doors but when you push the door switches to lock the doors there is no chime. Also all the doors will unlock like usual when you turn off the ignition?????? any ideas Wayne

Yep, common issue. the wire harness that runs under the r/f door sill plate and rug corrodes the door lock switch splices. pull the carpet up and you will find 2 wire splices that are corroded for sure the wire colors your looking for are light blue and white. you may also find a few others in that same area 1 is for the rear quarter windows and one is for the power seat and power sliding door if you van has these options. good luck :)
